“The Second Amendment is there just in case the First Amendment doesn’t work out”. Dave Chapelle
Some of what I write next will seem outrageous, a tin foil hat explosion. I would remind you, however, that there has been a marked tendency for yesterday's conspiracy theory to be today's (usually) unacknowledged fact. Remember when skeptics were warning that it wouldn't just be a fifteen day lock-down to flatten the curve? That was just the first lie foisted upon us. Do you still have some restrictions where you are? Still wearing masks in shops? Bars still closing at midnight? And now, wherever you are in the west, you'll have the specter of vaccine passports hanging over you.
People, throughout history, have a tendency to refuse to acknowledge reality until it's too late – some won't want to admit that they were wrong all along, some just don't recognize the gradual erosion of their rights and quality of life, some will probably even welcome it. If the tyrants move against us in incremental steps, without biting off too much at once and drawing fire, they will succeed.
Currently, they are right on the ragged edge, because they are in a particular hurry this time. Whilst the plans are long standing, the monster they have created as the mechanism for ensuring they get their way is a seasonal virus. As such, it's supposed to behave in a particular way and it would be inconvenient if it failed to do so. Enough people need to be vaccinated by the winter that a catastrophe can be guaranteed; especially, if the fear porn works as well as last year and people queue up to get the flu vaccine as well. A booster shot and a multi flu strain jab during another inevitable lock-down – that ought to do it, especially to the elderly and the obese and, dare I say it, people of color. In the US, only 26% of African Americans have taken the 'vaccine'. Who can blame them?
There is a game going on before our eyes and it's suckering a lot of good people – a fair proportion of the people who can dimly see that something is amiss, but can't quite put their finger on what. The purpose of this game is to misdirect us, to manage the narrative, to massage away problems and hide their true intentions. It goes like this, to use a recent example.
An inconvenient truth comes to light – a leaked document, for instance – which demonstrates that the state has been lying to its citizens. The Opposition spokesperson will jump up and down, someone middle ranking (the top brass won't want to be associated with any potential scandal) will come out mouthing soothing words - “it's very disturbing, we didn't know, it needs looking into” etc – some token skeptic will be a little harsher and that will pretty much be that; damage control. This is the classic state response – they have absolutely no interest in acting on the information.
The Telegraph newspaper in the UK has published leaked documents from the National Health Service (NHS) which show that figures pertaining to patients with Covid are false. The irresponsible 'unvaccinated' are not flooding the wards, apparently. There is no room for equivocation here; it's a binary choice. Either the numbers are true, or they're not. And, as they're not, the original NHS version of the story is not just a little misleading, it's an outright fabrication.
This shouldn't really be a surprise to anyone, especially not the government as the NHS is part of the state; it owes its existence to public money. Are we to assume that they have bitten the hand that feeds them instead, by lying to government, telling them that there were far more unvaccinated people admitted to hospital than there really were?
Well, in the unlikely event that they have, the truth is now out there. Logically, this should mean that the state has a pretty fundamental review of policy, as something seems to be awry. There is a far higher proportion of the vaccinated turning up at the hospital than previously advertised. If the government was doing the job it was supposed to do, it would be necessary to recalculate the risk/reward equation of the whole 'vaccine' programme.
If it's not stopping people getting Covid and a fair number are getting bad enough symptoms that they feel they need to go to hospital, then what good are the 'vaccines' doing? And it's not as though this is the first red flag; there is plenty of evidence to warrant calling a temporary halt, but does anyone believe that Boris will do that? I know I don't.
Meanwhile, in other news, literally just across the street in Westminster, London the local council is seeking extra capacity for the storage of bodies for the next four years. Why would that be? Do they know something that we don't?
****************
Take a step back for a paragraph. The most deadly pandemic of the past century or so was the Spanish Flu, which blew through in around a year, took out about 3% of the world's population, and was gone. The disease followed the evolutionary path of viruses; no vaccine, no selection pressure on the virus, mutations to make it less deadly in order to survive in hosts rather than killing them all. SARS COV 2, if you subscribe to the view that it exists as a separate, distinct coronavirus, has taken out precisely 0% of world population – there were no excess deaths worldwide in 2020 – and yet now, nearly two years after its appearance, we need some extra body bags to hand?
Not enough for you? Fair enough. Let's have a look at other news. The CDC has published plans for 'green' camps – detailed plans. In fact, the announcement is a little tardy as they are already building them. As an aside, think how much lead in time would be required before a shovel went into the ground; the funding, plans, meetings, new directorates and so on. This was not dreamt up last week. So, what are these camps? Well, they are for the vulnerable, apparently. People at high risk of Covid injury will be confined in these camps, whether they like it or not.
There is some acknowledgement that removing these people from their normal lives and their loved ones may not prove to be a popular policy, but it doesn't seem to be stopping them building the camps. Who else do you think the state will identify as high risk? Not the 'unvaccinated', surely? And how do we think this plan will go? Because lock-downs in care homes, which are effectively the same thing as isolation in camps, didn't go so well last year, did it? And there is no reason to think that, with an extra couple of 'vaccines' in them, it'll go any better for the vulnerable this year. You didn't think they were planning on putting them in camps in order to extend their useful lives, did you?
If you recoil from news like this, you are part of the problem and in these dire times, you are as much the enemy as those who are actively trying to ruin our lives. I know that's harsh, but it's true nonetheless. After all, how this turns out isn't a secret. The people illegally coercing us into taking unauthorized, experimental gene therapies are the same people who are ordering the body bags and building the camps.
We, if there is a 'we', are making some fundamental mistakes. It should be abundantly clear by now that the state/elite nexus wants to tighten the screws, destroy fundamental rights and force us to do what they want. The first mistake is to play by their rules. We have to understand that they are going to try and destroy any opposition, regardless. Trying to appease them, trying to be reasonable, hasn't worked so far and it will continue to be a doomed strategy, taken as weakness. The reason this is so is because they are not nice people.
They are not reasonable. It's possible that you have been seduced into thinking that they will push their agenda so far and then ameliorate it, when it would be sensible; you know, take people with you, rather than grinding them into the dust. Because that's what you would do. Any number of 'conservative' commentators have opined as much. Whether these people are ill informed or pretending to be someone they are not matters not – they are wrong and they will continue to be wrong. It's not even difficult – any group of people who talk about abolishing both the filibuster and the Electoral College, just for starters, do not give a fig about bi-partisanship. They want what they want and they are utterly ruthless.
Strictly speaking, it's not about Republicans and Democrats or Conservatives and Labour, but it is about Left and Right, at least in terms of character and personality. There is, effectively, a lunatic fringe where the Far Right should be and a small one at that, with absolutely no influence. The Far Left, on the other hand, is a completely different beast. Even though their numbers are relatively small, they have outsized influence due to their hijacking of the Democratic Party. Or, more accurately, they are in the ascendancy because the globalists have co-opted their policies as they are a good match for their totalitarian ambitions.
The word 'fascist', a cudgel beloved of the Left (when applied to the Right), is just another word for totalitarian and that is currently the exclusive preserve of the Left and has been for at least sixty years. When I say the Left, I'm not talking about libertarians or traditional Democrats, at least not in the US or Europe. In the UK, the situation is a little more confusing as it is ostensibly a Conservative (read Republican) government which is proving to be just as authoritarian as all the Leftists holding the reins elsewhere throughout Europe, but it's only a conundrum if we just pay attention to the label on the bottle; the contents are still the administrative state, the 'expert' bureaucracy that runs the show regardless of who the headline act is.
If the stars align and the administrative state is joined in government by a Far Left administration, then things move more quickly; for example, the pace of growing tyranny in the US at present is breakneck. The UK has not got around to advertising the fact that it is building internment camps (if it is), but it is unhampered by anything as clear cut as a Constitution and is not a union of states, so central authority in the form of lock-downs and mask mandates are easier to impose nationwide.
I must emphasize again – these people will not stop. They won't be reasonable. They will need to be stopped. It's a personality thing; the people in favor of a top down, 'I know best' approach are the same people who happen to believe that their approach is the only one that will work. Further, they wholeheartedly resent people that think differently. There is something of the fundamentalist about them; not the evangelist who wishes to persuade, but the tyrant who wants to impose. They don't want a debate, because there is no point.
They know they are right; that's why the science is always settled. These are not nice people. They are arrogant, vindictive and a lot less smart than they think they are. Their USP is that they are activist and relentless. The rest of us want a quiet life, to live and let live. They don't and they won't let us either. That's why they will have to be stopped.
So, as has always been the case throughout history, whether we like it or not, we are going to have to fight. And when we fight, we need to rid ourselves of our innate desire to fight fairly or respectfully. This has been another mistake. We have been so caught up in trashing the Left for its 'by any means necessary' approach, while basking in our own moral superiority, that we have failed to take sufficient heed of the actual results. We keep losing; gracefully perhaps, but it's all the same in the end.
We need to understand this fight in the same terms as the enemy. We need to be unafraid to get down and dirty and do what we have to to win. We have to give up something that is very dear to us, something that partially defines us; righteousness, that feeling that, whatever the outcome, we were doing the right thing. I understand that it's a comfort, but it's become an excuse and a guarantor of failure. Remember, the opposition also feels morally superior, because they can't contemplate the fact that they may be wrong. But their moral superiority is inextricably tied to winning. He who wins sets the moral agenda, so it's self fulfilling. Win and claim that, because you won, you must have been right.
To them, it's all relative. There is no outward moral framework tempering their decision making. They just do what they need to do to win. We know their claims are spurious, but that has ceased to matter. They're Progressives; moral relativism is an article of faith and if we continue to fight fair, we cannot possibly win. In the final analysis, as things stand, they will always be willing to stoop lower than us.
And the overwhelming reason we need to shape up? Because we are not just two foes fighting a battle over political ideas – a ying and a yang, a necessary part of the democratic process, a crucible in which compromise forges the best outcomes. This is not what it once was. They don't want to talk to us, they have no respect, there is nothing that they believe they can learn from us; they will destroy us if we won’t comply.
When it's good against evil, it behoves us to fight with everything we have. When the next generation eventually wakes up (or the generation after that), they will not look kindly upon us if we say, effectively, that we played by the rules of the game but the Left didn't and they won. Sorry.
And, yes, I know I am framing the conflict in the same way the Left does; in terms of good and evil. In typical projection fashion, they've got it the wrong way around, but they have intuitively grasped the fact that this is not business as usual any more. But it is our duty to win, because we are right. And if it sounds uncomfortably like the Left, if it removes another favorite criticism of them (their arrogance), sobeit. If you're uncomfortable articulating it, which you will be because that is not who we like to be, you will have to adapt.
Live and let live, as a philosophy practiced in the here and now, will lead to a form of slavery. It's uncomfortable to acknowledge that and to even write it down. But if we believe two undeniable truths – that freedom is fundamental and that the Left is trying to destroy it – then we have to put our squeamishness aside and fight to win.
The soft center won't do anything. They won't stir themselves until it's too late. The aforementioned libertarians are all well and good in a theoretical sense, but I can't envision many of them 'in the trenches'. The hand wringing liberals on the centre left are psychologically unsuited to any sort of stern resistance – anybody that reflexively voted for Biden, when it was blindingly obvious what would be coming if he got elected, may be experiencing buyer's remorse, but that doesn't mean they are going to give anyone on the Right the satisfaction of admitting that they were wrong, much less do anything practical to make amends.
Please read this the way it is intended. I am not advocating armed insurrection. I would, however, point out that any 'conservative' commentator who ignores the obvious parallels between 1775 and now, between the uprising against a tyrannical monarchy that is unilaterally viewed as justified and the supine surrender to an increasingly authoritarian state which is, by contrast, unacknowledged, should put away his quill until he has something useful to say.
There is no plan – no conservative resistance worthy of the name. There's a lot of piss and wind; righteous indignation, moral superiority, lots of complaining but no idea how to actually put it right beyond theorizing. In a few years time, these people will be reminiscing with each other in a green camp or across the landing of their Agenda 21 urban high rise communal housing facility. Just as there was little use for cooks and philosophers at the Alamo, so the modern 'conservative' movement is merely useless controlled opposition in the battle against tyranny. They will still be moaning about Biden or trying to agree a bookmark on a Bill that will accelerate the regime's aims, when they should be resisting with everything they have.
Remember – Covid is just an excuse. The Left has had these plans in place for years. They've written books, held yearly conferences, done table top exercises in the full glare of the cameras. This is not a secret and why would it be? They are incapable of being quiet about it because they're right, you see? Neither is it in any way controversial to opine that they won't stop until they are made to – how much more evidence do you need?
We've gone from an ostensibly free society (outwardly, at least) to a place where the state can advertise the fact that it is building camps. They are not even pretending that future inhabitants of these facilities will be housed there voluntarily. And to a place where extra body bags are ordered and nobody asks why, even though the vaccines were supposed to be the solution, were they not? And even if you believe the utter drivel being spouted about the delta variant (how do they test for that, by the way, when they don't even have a functioning test for Covid?), surely the booster shots will protect us instead? So where are all the excess deaths going to be coming from?
We must forget the rules – the Left did years ago. None of the laws or rules can be relied upon to help us. The Left has discovered the perfect way to get around things like informed consent and a Constitution which will not support mandating experimental drugs; they just ignore them and nobody actually does anything. What will inevitably happen next? They will ignore more laws because they are getting away with it and because they believe that they are the arbiters of modern morality; ergo, if they get away with it then it is morally acceptable. I repeat – they will not stop. They will become more and more brazen.
Here's what is coming in the US, if it isn't stopped. The First Amendment is gone already. The Second Amendment will also go. It'll be a slow death by regulation and legal activism, continuing down a path that is already well trodden. Neither Amendment will be revoked, as that would draw too much attention and there is no need, anyway. The Constitution will still exist; it just won't mean anything.
Anyone even marginally right of centre who is in any way critical of the state will be further victimized, probably through domestic terrorism legislation, with the enthusiastic support of private businesses who will get busy banning them from flights, media platforms, financial resources and so forth. All these things are already happening, incidentally. They will also be arrested and held without trial, overcharged in an attempt to parlay a plea bargain in time honored fashion. Lock-downs will be back with a vengeance – the enemy will be the 'unvaccinated', who will be blamed for illness among the 'vaccinated'. It's difficult to imagine anything as 1984 as that.
One 'vaccine' has already been approved. Others will follow. Not because they are safe and effective, but because they need to be approved so that government can coerce the people into getting a shot, federal employees first. The state has, inevitably, abused the privilege by mandating it as widely as possible, with no heed paid to any exemptions or actual need, nor to Constitutional validity. Before you internally normalize this, have a think about whether this has ever happened before, with any vaccine, and then work out why you think this one should be different.
For the rest of us, as well as ramped up demonisation, everything will become difficult if you are unjabbed, possibly even as far as making it problematic, if not impossible, to buy necessities. Think I'm kidding? It's already happened elsewhere, overseas. We used to be able to distinguish between 'banana republics' and Western cradles of democracy; those distinctions are rapidly disappearing.
Every winter will now be a horror show – the 'vaccinated' will be acutely vulnerable to any naturally circulating virus, the likes of which we have always dealt with adequately. Not any more and not just in the winter, either. We are now getting summer outbreaks, allegedly. The true reason for the carnage will be the 'vaccines', but that won't be what we will be told. Have a wild guess as to who will be blamed?
And how much easier do you think it will be to impose lock-downs if people are falling like flies? The unvaxxed will be be accused of being the repository of mutations that are harming the vaccinated, who keep having to get separate booster shots to keep up. This despite the fact that it is well known that if you put selection pressure on a virus, it will have to mutate quickly in order to survive and it is the vaccination campaign that is driving mutations.
Perhaps there are those who think that these predictions are all a little too much. On the contrary. I think it may be worse. Things are nearly always further along than we know. And where is the evidence that the Left will stop the march towards totalitarianism? Things are moving that way quickly now. In January 2020, could you have imagined lock-downs, vaccination mandates and camps? They are on a tight schedule, as the mid-terms are coming and they need to have a lot of this done by then.
But it's not like they are going to lose power. I don't think it's going to matter how many votes the Republicans get. The Left wants to stay in power, they have no respect for the electorate and they are not going to play by the rules. There will be industrial level fraud and no federal judge will touch it with a barge pole. And they'll do it because they are right and because they can. And if they're right, then everybody else is by definition, wrong. Not just wrong actually; evil. And if they're evil, it would be wrong to let them win. Morally wrong.
There is little point in trying to work out where the obstacles to a totalitarian state are; the obstacles that stand in the path of the elites. They will simply ignore the rules, their colleagues in Big Media will look the other way and nobody will hold them to account. If we want to know what the near future holds, it would be wise to just believe what they say they're going to do.
*****************
How is it that things go bad? How is it that unscientific garbage becomes the orthodoxy? Regimes rarely have enough official manpower to overwhelm an unwilling population by physical force alone, even if they do have a monopoly on the use of legitimate violence. They rely on the majority to enforce the orthodoxy, the Stasi spy behind the curtain. Nonetheless, the obvious question is why, when positions held by the state are logically impossible, do people unthinkingly go along with them anyway and stigmatize those that don't?
In normal times, controlling types who want to tell you what to do are aggravating enough, even when they are trying to get you to do something that is not actively detrimental to your health. Clearly, these people still exist in less enlightened times, such as now. Their desire to boss people around exists separately from their cognitive abilities, so they will enforce the orthodoxy, regardless.
There is also the type of person who believes that, as they have taken the 'vaccine' in order to demonstrate that they are responsible members of society who care about others, anyone who doesn't must, automatically, be diametrically opposite, morally. To be clear, I'm not making a sin of vehemence; having the courage to hold fast to a firmly held belief cannot, uniformly, be considered a bad thing.
But when a position has been arrived at that is defective in logic (or entirely devoid of it) and actively contradicted by what actual evidence is available, then vehemence combined with their inherent bossiness and need to impose their will on others, takes us into dangerous territory. These are the people who will populate the ranks of the useful idiots and it doesn't matter how much evidence there is to the contrary, it won't be enough. The oft repeated truism dictates that those who have arrived at their beliefs by a process of faith will not have them rendered asunder by logic.
If they are trusting the authorities to give them their information, which they are, do you honestly think that you are going to rearrange their entire belief system with a fact or two about 'vaccines'? Some of these people have had loved ones die shortly after the shot and yet they have queued up to take it themselves. These are not thoughtful people and screeds like this aren't for them. They are unreachable with logic and evidence; they will twist themselves into knots to justify their beliefs to themselves. They are, regrettably, key to the process of subduing us all; it's these people that are the moral arbiters, but they are downstream from the tyrants. Even in good times, these are not likeable people.
However, I suspect that the biggest constituency by far is the so called silent majority; the group of people that looks at all this and knows that it's wrong but who does nothing, perhaps because they believe they are, in fact, a minority and can have no influence on the outcome. How any times have you heard people bemoan the situation in which we find ourselves, whilst simultaneously excusing their inaction on the grounds that they are too insignificant to have an impact?
Fostering this impression is a deliberate tactic by the elites. Crushing dissenting voices isn't just a knee jerk reflex to these people; it's also vital in persuading the opposition that the situation is hopeless by virtue of their numerical inferiority. If the silent majority actually realized that it was a majority, the game would probably be up. These are people who, if they took the 'vaccine', did so because it was becoming too difficult not to, not because they believed that they needed to to avert imminent danger.
They are the ones that want a quiet life; they may even have voted for Biden just so that the volume was turned down. These are the people that are the most dangerous threat to any regime, even though they are seemingly supine. They are not believers; indeed, they can see through a lot of the lies and misinformation, but without their quiescence, the state cannot stay in power. They need to be firstly mollified and then co-opted.
And if they are, they too will eventually form part of the mob that comes after the holdouts. Partly, they may resent the fact that these people held out and they didn't. Mostly it'll be because they think (mistakenly) that if the 'unvaccinated' would just succumb, everything will just get back to normal. So, tyrants, useful idiots and the silent majority will all do whatever they need to do to get by.
Essays like this are mostly for the resistance, but also for that majority. In their heart of hearts, they may know that ignoring the problem won't make it go away and that, in the end, something will actually have to be done. But all the time that the prevailing orthodoxy holds sway and they feel powerless, nothing will happen.
Fortunately, the Achilles heel of the Left will always be their inability to be reasonable. As time passes, mere acquiescence from the lumpen masses won't be enough. There will need to be enthusiastic approval. The tyrants won't be able to help themselves. As a result, the silent majority will become more and more alienated from the ruling class and more and more resentful – in the end, the spark will come and the resistance will suddenly discover that there are a lot more of them than they thought.
In the meantime, remember that the ranks of the tyrants and the useless idiots are always well stocked; they are usually the shouty minority who are animated by the next Big Idea. They are dangerous in ideology and unpleasant in character. The sooner we start saying 'no', the better. The more they get away with, the more emboldened they will become.
Don't compromise on anything. Compromise is weakness to them and anything that you do that allows them to prosper, or even just survive, is treachery. Every bill must be voted down, every radical candidate rejected. There is no working with people who hold their values. This will probably be temperamentally difficult for a majority of people on the Right. A lot of things that are worth doing are difficult.
In the end, it will come down to active resistance of some sort, because the Left will inevitably push their agenda relentlessly and there will be no other way to stop them. Unconstitutional mandates, illegitimate laws, obfuscation and totalitarianism are their currency. We will not avoid tragic outcomes by being reasonable. It'll take more than that. And time is short.
