Never Go Full Retard
They aren't frightened, no matter how much we'd like them to be. They can't see trouble coming. They may be perplexed, unable to understand how it is that what had always worked no longer does. They may be angry, vexed by the intransigence of the little people. The psychological condition of TDS is simply a character trait writ large – they cannot abide anyone who disagrees with them, who calls them out, who refuses to bend the knee. They think of us as they think of Trump; it's just that we're not as prominent.
I don't think that they are even wary, let alone desperate. They don't feel the need to proceed with caution, to tread carefully. That simply isn't their style. They will blunder onwards regardless. Not necessarily because they think that they are always right, because 'right' and 'wrong' have virtually nothing to do with anything. Progressive ideology isn't supposed to make sense, to be internally consistent. It's just a cover; they do what they want to do. They have, after all, awarded themselves a blank moral canvas on which to crayon their vision. Helpfully, morality is a moveable feast, to be defined at their whim.
While they were building their empire of lies, conquering the academy was objective numero uno. Education is a cultural Ground Zero, as it is college graduates who populate all the other institutions that needed to be suborned, the judiciary and the media chief amongst them. Unraveling the Judeo-Christian bedrock of Western civilization took generations and during this period, they weren't yet dominant. Neither were the robber barons their allies – they were pursuing their traditional tactics of backing both sides of a dispute, thus enabling conflict and the ensuing misery conflict brought and then cashing in once more when the inevitable rebuilding was required. That or stealing overseas resources under the pretense of 'assistance' and decimating the middle class.
Clinton, although a Leftist, was a paragon of restraint when compared to the modern version. The Bushes were died-in-the-wool neocons, committed to overseas adventurism which shed American blood, but which also lined the pockets of their sponsors. It wasn't until Obama that the 'fundamental transformation of America' gathered pace. But if Obama was the turbo fitted to the progressive engine, Biden's handlers (Obama again) is the nitrous oxide.
However, a fundamental flaw in the progressive mindset has been revealed – one that had been largely quiescent when they were still on the outside, looking in – and it is this that is probably going to do them more damage than any other single factor. Now that they are ascendant, their inherent amorality and vindictiveness is no longer constrained. As a result, they are now approaching peak crazy. They act like children. They no longer feel the need to even pretend that's what they're doing.
Or rather, they pretend in such a perfunctory and transparent way that even the sheople start to see through them – they have become the living embodiment of the aphorism which states that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. And whilst it's true that any personality type would struggle to retain a degree of circumspection when operating in a seemingly consequence-free universe, the Leftist is the type that actively exploits this immunity with the most gusto.
And so they start going rogue in ways that have become increasingly difficult to justify, even by fellow Leftists infected with a slightly less virulent strain of authoritarianism. Yes, the Left has always eaten its own, by virtue of the fact that those who populate that end of the political spectrum are predominantly driven by emotions and the Care/harm, Liberty/oppression tropes rather than by critical thinking. Emotional people tend to fall out with each other. Additionally, the bitterness and vindictiveness that also feature prominently in any list of progressive character traits guarantee internecine warfare, but latterly the vitriol has been reserved for those who don't go far enough, not those who go too far.
So when peak crazy approaches, they start losing allies at a rate of knots because their fellow ideologues actually start condemning their extremist views, which is a radical departure from the usual petty infighting. Usually, of course, doubling down is a default setting that all can agree with. The coalition has suffered very few defections thusfar, even while the patently nonsensical orthodoxies such as trans rights, racial justice, the green agenda and so forth have been rammed down our collective throat. Add the absurdly weaponized justice system, the January 6th show trials, the lawfare directed against Trump that has yielded over 90 indictments; still no issues there amongst committed Leftists. A unified front has been presented to the world.
But suddenly, a rebel alliance is forming. Apparently, the Colorado Supreme Court ruling is a step too far for some who might otherwise have been expected to be ecstatic. It seems that attempting to disqualify the former president and leading Republican candidate from standing for office is too rich even for the likes of Bill Barr and Chris Christie, who both hate Trump with a passion.
For context; the 'evidence' that the court utilized to find that Trump engaged in an insurrection was taken from the January 6th committee hearings. I say 'committee', but that phraseology may be construed to infer legitimacy. It doesn't - the 'committee' was improperly constituted from the outset, in contravention of House rules that had been instituted by the Democrats themselves. Every commentator seems to be committed to pretending otherwise, but the 'committee' was never entitled to sit, to issue subpoenas nor to take evidence.
If one lies to obtain a search warrant, any evidence obtained as a result of said warrant is invalidated. A confession obtained absent a police caution or a Miranda warning is, in almost all circumstances, worthless. So it is with every single syllable elicited from the witnesses who testified before the 'committee'; none of it is probative.
What is being attempted here is not a contestable rule-bend – it's a provable corruption of justice. Barr had this to say about it:
"The core problem here is the denial of due process — to deprive somebody of the right to hold public office requires due process. This was denied due process. It was a five-day hearing. There was no jury; it was before the judge. They were not able to subpoena witnesses and compel the attendance of witnesses. They relied on the Jan. 6 committee hearings, which is mostly hearsay. There was no right to cross-examine during those hearings, and so forth."(1)
While it's a racing certainty that most courts will fail to do their duty and adjudicate impartially, that doesn't mean that the court of public opinion won't understand the truth behind what is occurring. The Leftist justices have so clearly left the reservation and have forfeited their reputations in so doing. The price for betraying public trust will become due if this type of behavior continues – and it will.
The furore serves as a useful political barometer and as confirmation of a phenomenon that has been apparent for the past couple of years (at minimum), one that has increasingly found expression at the ballot box. If one ignores the largely partisan pollsters and relies instead on gut instinct and personal experience, it is apparent that anybody remotely sensible is no longer buying what the ruling class and their progressive 'useful idiots' are trying to sell.
The same goes for the vendetta against anyone remotely connected with MAGA. The cabal has indicted Trump's constitutionally protected alternate electors, his former advisors, his lawyers, the storeman at Mar-a-Lago and Trump himself – the latter for 'offences' committed whilst president. However, the process for dealing with that scenario is an impeachment for 'high crimes and misdemeanors'. They went down that route twice and failed both times; now they are having a third go. But every time they politicize the law against him, his poll numbers go up.
In some ways, the most impactful aspect of the saga is the mere fact that they've undertaken this course of action. The courts will do whatever they will do, but it's clear that a significant proportion of the country is not going to be persuaded of Trump's unelectability by any decision by any part of the justice system. And that is a problem across the board; in using the institutional hierarchy to wreak havoc, the cabal are destroying their own legitimacy into the bargain and thereby hastening the transition to an alternative reality, one that they will not control.
The paymasters probably know this so, for them, it's a race against time. The progressives, on the other hand, almost certainly don't. They lack self awareness; their entire shtick is dependent upon that lack, because anyone with an ounce of common sense would not be able to cleave to their ideology. So they are doomed to repeat their mistakes in ever more egregious ways. And the Deep State actors who, perforce, must operate behind the front lines, are obliged to indulge them.
Other examples of peak crazy are stacking up. Bill Maher and Chris Cuomo, both committed 'liberals', excoriated their own side over their coverage of October 7th and the blatant anti-Semitism that was on full display.(2)(3) The president of Harvard is still on the naughty step for her refusal to condemn the intimidation of Jewish students, a practice that is rampant on campus.(4) Teachers in the UK are being sacked for challenging gender ideology, including one from a Church of England school that teaches 11 year olds about pansexual gender identities.(5)(6) A Catholic college in the US decided to allow men who identify as transexual women to enroll in its all female student body,(7) only to reverse course when challenged.
If I was in the leadership group of the Deep State, I would offer the following advice. The sensible approach would be to dab the brakes and return to a more modulated approach, one that can lull the sheople into a false sense of security, similar, in fact, to the methodology that proved so successful previously. But that isn't going to happen.
Back in the day, the political battle was more genuinely between political ideologies that were recognizably of the Left and of the Right. In broad terms, the Tories/Republicans represented the interests of Big Business and Labour and the Democrats pretended to stand up for the man in the street. The political scene was akin to a parody of the oppressor/oppressed narrative but, importantly, there were still moderate socialists (for the most part) at the Leftist helm.
Big Business usually found its interests best served by the Right. But change was coming and the political paradigm was first disrupted in the UK, with the ascension of St. Tony in 1997. Had Gore defeated Bush in 2000, a similar dynamic would no doubt have begun afflicting America, but it wasn't until Obama's election in 2008 that it became clear that the traditional constructs were no longer valid in the US, either.
Obama was almost certainly the most died-in-the-wool socialist president since FDR and he weaponized a progressive agenda that had previously been the preserve of fringe malcontents and the professionally offended and then he plonked it down front and center, instead. My assumption is that the Deep State/Big Business cabal had long planned to utilize the Left in an eventual authoritarian power grab, simply because it was a better ideological fit.
A Leftist wants to change the world, a conservative wishes to maintain the status quo. Leftists shout, scream and stamp their feet; conservatives simply collapse like the invertebrates they are. How long the cabal had been in cahoots with the Obama sect, I know not – although I suspect he had been anointed many years prior. But 2008 marked the alliance's formal debut on the big stage and represented a clear departure from the more even-handed, back both sides approach that had been the business model thusfar.
The final nails in the coffin, the factors that consolidated the cabal's support of the Left were, firstly, the emergence of Trump as the Right's champion (despite the best offices of the Republican establishment) and the subsequent development of the mechanisms needed to guarantee their desired outcomes in presidential elections.
Trump, previously a Democrat, might not have been for sale, but 2018 (to a more limited degree), 2020 and 2022 demonstrated that the weaponry that was required to neuter him was in good working order. Funding for the Democrats is, therefore, well in excess of that provided to the Republicans (witness the $400+ million that was spent on Zuckerboxes in 2020), who are grudgingly slipped a few dollars, simply to give the impression that it's still a two horse race.
However, an alliance with progressives comes at a cost, a cost that is now becoming increasingly apparent; it's why there will be no desire to moderate the approach. Whereas as the GOP/Tories were reliably venal, they were also temperamentally consistent. In the middle phase of the grand project, that was a quality that was required, but the swap to progressive Democrats in the US (and, to a lesser degree, liberals disguised as conservatives in the UK) has necessarily resulted in a series of unpleasant demagogues achieving prominence, a circumstance that has emboldened other members of their tribe to also lurch into an alternative reality where they are able to ride roughshod over any obstacle, magicking novel theories into existence and expecting to get away with it.
The more divorced from reality they get, the more amoral, malicious and patently wrong-headed, the more people will see who they really are and what they really want. The ruling class has handed the keys to the kingdom to the mentally unstable and they will run wild and wilder. But this marriage of convenience will not end in divorce. Even if our mutual enemy somehow wins through, they will need at least some of these petty tyrants to police the mulish masses – along with their algorithms.
Plus, the Leftist's relationship with the truth is tenuous, at best. And their capacity for admitting error is non-existent. If and when they discover that they've been had (along with the rest of us), there will be no mea culpe. They are a personality type, not a movement and that is both their greatest strength and their greatest weakness; strength, because it has given a shouty minority dominance, weakness because that dominance will inevitably be compromised by an aversion to moderation.
These instances will, therefore, not be the last of their kind, but the more there are, the more obvious the elites' scheming will become; using spiteful children as proxies tends to have that effect. It's possible that the smarter members of the cabal may be starting to realize this, which is probably why matters seem to be unraveling so speedily. They may feel that they are in a race against time – the warning signs are obvious. They may feel that if they can't get over the line before enough people wake up, they will fail.
What they may not realize is quite how many people can already see at least the outlines of the plan. In short, it's not all doom and gloom. I know it often feels like it is, but the enemy is not going to be all-conquering. The cabal can't abandon their foot soldiers now; they are past the point of no return. But we may actually be winning and the progressives are highly likely to (unwittingly) improve our odds of victory. They are destined to go full retard. And the craziness is not going to be sustainable.
Season's greetings.
