The best way to make sense of our current predicament (and to have some understanding of the intended outcomes) is to pay attention to what it is we are being told by the globalists. I'll allow the fact that it's difficult to keep up with the myriad crises that are heading our way in short order, both the real and the hyped. In addition, and despite all the headlines designed to catch the eye, some seemingly unconnected events are also part of the overall scenario.
There is an ongoing and concerted effort to reset global society. Saying such a thing two years ago would have led to howls of derision and lifetime membership of the tin foil hat brigade but, as is so often the case, yesterday's conspiracy is today's truth and the conspiracy theorist is revealed as someone who just happened to see it before most others and (sometimes) before the conspirators had finished normalizing what was to come. The Great Reset isn't even a controversial phrase any more, even if the likes of the BBC still seem to think that we need to be shielded from any mention of it.
After all, politicians and the corporate media have spent large chunks of the recent past parroting terms like 'Build Back Better', which evinces a specific desire to increase global co-ordination in order to minimize the alleged failings revealed by the global response to Covid. Ironically, those who flinched the least and ignored the siren calls of the WHO and other globalist agencies are those that have fared better over the past two years, both with regard to the original virus and then the 'vaccines', but that's not something that the press feels compelled to dwell upon.
Now that we seem to have moved on from the 'pandemic' – we haven't, but I'll come back to that later – the globalists' efforts are more dispersed and, in some instances, difficult to recognize for what they are. Some structural rejigs will only bear fruit over longer time frames, whereas other initiatives are necessary building blocks in the here and now. However, there are three reference points which are of crucial importance if we are to bring understanding to events.
The first is to do with timing. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, the US mid-terms in November must be of crucial importance, for several compelling reasons. Firstly, there will be three years' worth of authoritarian momentum; I can think of no conceivable way that they will countenance surrendering that. Secondly, their popularity is epically low and yet they are making no attempt to be more appealing to voters. Some commentators believe that the Democrats are surprised that their base isn't pleased with their radical efforts – this sounds like nonsense to me. The elites know that what they are trying to achieve is unpopular, which is why the corporate media is gaslighting us at every opportunity. If their agenda had a genuine mandate, they'd be much more open about what they are up to, but they misrepresent their intentions continually.
Nonetheless, the Democrats don't have a coherent campaign strategy and it's very difficult to see what they could sell that the public would want to buy. What little electoral lawfare they are engaged in is not potent enough to avert a probable annihilation in November. Overall, this is highly suspicious. If they lose control of the House (which they will), their legislative agenda will be stalled for the next two years. If they lose the Senate as well (which they probably will), Biden may well get impeached.
So why aren't the Democrats, the win at all costs party, pulling out all the stops? I suspect history is repeating itself. They didn't try very hard in the 2020 Presidential elections either, because their intent was to manufacture as many votes as were needed. In order for that to happen again (and it will be more difficult this time, at least in a normal election, due to the tightening up of election procedures in some states) the mail-in portion of the vote will have to be even more substantial than last time. That can best be accomplished by another lock-down. As far as I can tell, very few commentators have paid any heed to the possibility that the Democrats are going to have to cheat on an unprecedented scale if they wish to hang on to effective power. Neither have they considered the likelihood of the elections being postponed, even though there is a recent European precedent for just that; Italy postponed its presidential election during the self imposed lock-down, even though Portugal had the same problem and managed to run an election just fine.
So, some of what the globalists are currently gestating is in service of that end and necessarily a slave to the November timing. The two additional elements that must be heeded are UN Agenda 21 and the WEF vision of the world as a renter's paradise although, in truth, they are mirrors of each other. Agenda 21 must be the most important and impactful programme that most people have never heard of, even though its effects are already with us. Within its pages is the framework that will turn us into serfs and vassals.
The object of the exercise is total control. I will deal with Agenda 21 in more detail shortly, but the gist of it is that if we are to live urban lives in rented apartment, with freedom of movement, association and thought severely curtailed, we will need to be coerced into doing so. The initial stages, which we are currently in, will be more accurately characterized by deception, by persuading us that eating red meat is somehow bad for the environment or that a digital currency (and the consequent death of cash) is simply more convenient for us all and a better way to protect against fraud. As we go on, you will notice that the 'evidence' to back up these assertions will comprise solely of statements, repeated endlessly, that don't provide proof of anything.
Even the coercion phase can be done in such a way as to appear to be inevitable, as if force of circumstance is responsible, rather than malign intent. If less fuel is being processed and less food is being grown, there won't seem to be a lot we can do about it. All the globalists need is a bit of top cover (Putin's price hike, a 'pandemic') and they think they'll be home free. It doesn't even have to make sense. The inconvenient truths such as the fact that it was the response to Covid, not Covid itself, that has caused so much suffering and chaos. Or the fact that the upcoming food and fuel crises have their roots in Progressive policies that go back decades and have their immediate triggers in events that precede the Ukrainian war by months.
The unfortunate fact is that we, the public, don't have the power to make any of the globalists do anything. The state/corporate nexus owns the means of production and is fully represented in the political class and the bureaucracies that administer every important aspect of our lives. Theoretically, the people outnumber the elites by orders of magnitude, but the globalists have control of all the big guns and, in most places, a monopoly on the legitimate use of force.
It will perhaps be said that it is not possible for any entity to control everything worldwide and that any New World Order type conspiracy is simply paranoia manifesting itself. But why would a global reset not result in a new world order? Isn't that the whole point of it? And if a small group of people (a cabal) controls states and vital resources, then it must be possible to leverage that influence and squeeze compliance from even the reluctant opposition. What would simplify matters is a network of supranational organisations that override state authority and global businesses that operate across multiple countries and continents and which owe their allegiance to their shareholders alone. If the controlling shareholders are also drawn from a very limited pool – because anti-trust or monopoly legislation either doesn't exist or isn't enforced – you have fertile ground for authoritarianism. This is exactly where we currently are, as I shall demonstrate in the upcoming series of essays.
Some of the evidence I shall produce will be self evident. Proposed legislation that explicitly seeks to introduce censorship or anti-democratic practices, pilot schemes for programmable Central Bank Digital Currencies, rules around sustainability and stakeholder capitalism are three such areas. Other evidence is rather more opaque – events, fires, actions that purport to do one thing, while actually doing the opposite. These instances may seem insignificant on their own and the intent may be difficult to pin down, sometimes. However, when seen as part of the whole, their significance will become apparent.
And so, to Agenda 21. The 21 stands for the 21st century and the Agenda is a non-binding agreement signed up to by 178 countries. The agreement involves a commitment to 'sustainable development', but the overriding ideology behind Agenda 21 (which has been around since the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio) is communitarianism, which holds that an individual's rights are a threat to the global community. Apparently, property ownership, personal mobility and other life choices that we make individually are all potentially damaging. In Orwellian fashion, we can only really be free when we give ourselves wholly over to the state, which makes all the decisions for us. We must be rationed, controlled, watched, regulated and restricted. Our rights must be constrained by whatever rights the United Nations deems itself able to grant to the 'world community'.
All of which sounds like so much nonsense, were it not for the fact that governments and powerful individuals very much like the sound of any philosophy that advocates that the state and its corporate partners aggregate yet more power to themselves, whilst taking it from everybody else. “You'll own nothing and be happy”, remember?
The climate change scam is the weapon of choice and, once again, we see a favored tactic of the globalists. They are huge fans of the fake endorsement, the 'expert' opinion that gives them carte blanche to do what they wish. There is absolutely no need for the opinion to be truthful (in fact, it definitely won't be) – all that matters is that a body that they themselves have invested authority in tells the rest of us that the elites are right. Think FDA, the UN or the WHO, none of which have a track record for accuracy or honesty. None of that matters to the elites. As long as the letter heading has the right initials, they believe that they can further their agenda legitimately. It should be noted that none of these bodies will be accountable to the voter.
We, whoever we can be said to be, committed a huge error by not challenging the ridiculous accords and targets that have emerged as a result of the contention that the world is on course for a climate disaster. These policies, such as striving for net zero carbon emissions by 2035, may have been viewed as ridiculous and unachievable, but that attitude takes no account of the enormous damage that has been done (and is still being done) in allegedly trying to reach them. Agenda 21 is the codified spawn of the false contention that man made global warming is destroying our planet. Over the past thirty years, trillions of dollars (and pounds, euros etc) of taxpayers money have been wasted on subsidies, NGOs and wind and solar technologies that are completely unnecessary – if we take the view that all this money was spent to reduce global temperatures, but not if we realize that this orgy of spending was instead intended to separate us from yet more of our money and from our autonomy as citizens.
We have seen an explosion of Non Government Organisations (NGOs), which have been used to blur the lines between government and the private sector. They are contracted out organisations which, unlike government, aren't even nominally accountable to the people. And, as is usual wherever obfuscation and zero oversight come together, there are now numerous NGOs wholly made up of local government entities and it is these that comprise the layers of stifling state control.
The practical outcomes of thirty years of Agenda 21 are widely felt. In the housing sector, future developments are being restricted to Priority Development Areas, which are small areas within city limits. Any land outside these arbitrarily designated areas will not be able to be built on. Rural and suburban communities will be gradually emptied into cities where more development areas will be identified and superimposed on local government. There will be more regional legislation and less local control; publicly accountable officials will be rarer than hen's teeth.
These policies have been bearing fruit for many years now. New urban developments have a minimum of privacy, frequently suffer from high vacancy rates, crime and poor maintenance. In the US and elsewhere, they are equipped with SMART energy and water technologies which allow agencies to limit usage without consent. Control of resources is clearly another of the essential building blocks of authoritarian rule.
Other elements not specifically connected to Agenda 21 are also being utilized. Forever wars are another requirement, to ensure that resources will always be scarcer than they could be and as a way of introducing austerity. Natural resources will be off limits, even though it is fuel and food that will be required to alleviate misery. But when there is a desire to dismantle and remake society in a more controlled, compliant version the obvious solutions are not what are desired. The third way, the new normal, is the destination of choice. The signature methodology is to come up with an idea that it is impossible to argue against, such as clean air, quality public transport, affordable housing or protection of the environment and then execute the strategy in what looks like a disastrous fashion (by design), arriving at the outcome that the globalists had wanted all along.
Recent examples of this strategy are numerous; the Afghanistan withdrawal, the Covid lock-downs, the 'vaccines', the desire to welcome Ukraine into the NATO family. Slightly further back we suffered through a stock market crash and a housing crisis, largely brought about by cheap money and a housing bubble that was created in a supposed attempt to allow as many people as possible to own a home. Then, when the crash came and all the foreclosures went through, who got bailed out with public money and then snapped up all the cheap housing? The banks. The net result was, therefore, the opposite of what was allegedly intended, once again.
Any avoidable circumstance that leads to long term resource uncertainty is undoubtedly deliberate. Wars fought for the sake of 'democracy' and over a failure by a country (in this case, Russia) to respect another country's borders are demonstrably bogus. Western alliances and individual nations have no problem with foreign meddling when it is them doing it (witness Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria and numerous others) and fail to condemn their friends when they ride roughshod over international law, as the Saudis are doing in Yemen. This is realpolitik, or an immoral foreign policy by another name, which is hardly unique among nations. However, the hypocrisy involved in pretending otherwise, is particularly unattractive.
Any suggestion that increases surveillance, any legislation targeting 'hate speech' or 'misinformation' is also a further attempt at top down control. Sanctions that fail and cause self inflicted suffering, shortages of resources, rampant inflation, austerity measures, programmable digital currencies; all of these are things that will chip away at our autonomy and hand more power to the centre.
There is plenty already underway and plenty more in the works. The place to start is with the macro, the biggest, most basic human needs – food and fuel – and that will be the subject of my next offering. After that, the other building blocks such as control of information, money and expression will be examined and perhaps, in due course, the shape and scope of the overarching programme will become apparent and the realization of how close we are to a point of no return will jolt some of us into action.
